A building on Jackson Street, in the Nob Hill district of San Francisco, was built right after the Great Quake, long before most of the lessons from that catastrophe hed been learned. It needed a lot of work to bring it up to the new “Soft Story” standards.

Agape Construction installed three custom-fabricated steel moment frames, along with new grade beam foundations, and added anchor bolts and new plywood shearwalls to strengthen the building and give it a long life.

All of the work was done without any of the existing tenants having to move out – although they did need to park somewhere else for a few weeks.
