A building on Jackson Street, in the Nob Hill district of San Francisco, was built right after the Great Quake, long before most of the lessons from that catastrophe had been learned. It needed a lot of work to bring it up to the new “Soft Story” standards.

Agape Construction reinforced the existing walls, and added a new foundation, bolts, hold-downs, and shearwalls in the basement to strengthen the building and give it a new, long life.

All of the work was done without disturbing the existing tenants.
